Civil Science
Civil Science StoryCivil Science
Civil Science was established in April 2002 as the result of an employee sponsored buyout of an office which had been in continuous existence since 1978. From an initial staff of 17 dedicated professionals, Civil Science has grown to a multi-office regional civil engineering consulting firm that is staffed and equipped to tackle today’s engineering challenges. Our current service area encompasses the western U.S. including Alaska and is serviced from centrally located regional offices in Utah, Idaho, and Alaska.

Our clientele base is represented by governmental clients on the state, county, and local municipal level and are augmented by private sector clients where appropriate. To address their needs we are currently staffed with a broad array of engineering, planning, and surveying professionals, Civil Science is uniquely qualified and structured to address a broad range of civil engineering challenges. We offer services in the transportation engineering, water resource engineering, wastewater engineering, environmental NEPA compliance, land and utility planning, commercial and residential developmental engineering, recreational engineering, structural engineering, GIS, land surveying and mapping.

Firm principals, Blaine M. Comer, P.E., Ed Thomas, and Kyle J. Comer bring several years of engineering experience in the delivery of a wide range of challenging projects. Together they form the nucleus of a dynamic presence in the engineering market place.
